It was agreed during the November 22 , 1991 meeting held
between PHS/EHD, Shell Oil Company, and Delta Environmental
Consultants that the sampling frequency of monitoring wells
MW1 and MW3 could be reduced to semi-annually, however, MW2
sampling frequency would remain quarterly. This agreement
was based on the evidence that MW2 was the downgradient
well. According to the November 21, 1991 groundwater
elevation measurements, MW1 is currently the downgradient
well. It may be necessary to revise the agreed sampling
frequency, depending on the first quarter 1992 monitoring
results.
2 . During the November 22, 1991 meetingtit was agreed that a
"Draft Final Remediation Plan" would not be required at this
time. However, monitoring will continue to verify that
groundwater in not impacted by residual contamination.
Since remediation is not scheduled at this time, a
groundwater investigation of the northern dispenser will be
necessary.
Please submit a workplan for the additional groundwater
investigation by April 15, 1992.
3 . Continue evaluating the possibility of the use of monitoring
wells for vapor extraction as was discussed during the
November 22 , 1991 meeting.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
