This is not an address of record
with San Joaquin County Planning or the Assessors ' Offices.
PHS/EHD has recently reviewed the October 15, 1990, Problem
Assessment Report. The recommendation by Delta Environmental that
the no-action alternative was appropriate for this site is
unacceptable. The Leaching Potential Analysis in the Leaking
Underground Fuel Tank (LUFT) Manual was used to evaluate the soil
contamination at this site. Seasonal high depth to groundwater for
the site is 45 feet (San Joaquin County Flood Control District
Spring 1986/1983) . Soil samples which were contaminated were taken
beneath the northernmost dispenser (T--3) and former underground
storage tanks #3 (T-5 and T-6) and #4 (T-7 and T-8) . The results of
these samples were used to complete the Leaching Potential Analysis
Worksheet. The worksheet is used to evaluate if levels of
contamination can be left in place without detriment to groundwater
quality. The levels of residual contamination associated with the
northernmost dispenser and underground storage tanks #3 and #4
failed the Leaching Potential Analysis. Copies are enclosed for
your information.
Please include proposed soil and groundwater remedial options in a
Draft Final Remedial Plan (FRP) .
