San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) , has completed <br /> their review and has the following comments. <br /> 1. Stockpiled soils were transported off-site. Provide <br /> verification that the contaminated soil was transported <br /> to Forward Landfill in Lodi, California on February 19, <br /> 1989, and that the stockpiled soil from the new tank <br /> installation excavation was transported to a private <br /> property located at 6101 East Eight Mile Road, Stockton, <br /> during the week of December 19, 1988. <br /> 2 . Soil samples, T-5, T-6, T-7, and T-8, taken December 20, <br /> 1988, from the bottom of the tank pit associated with <br /> former underground storage tanks ,f3 and 14 indicated <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon contamination levels from 120 parts <br /> per million (ppm) to 4,880 ppm total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons (TPH) gasoline. This tank pit was <br /> backfilled January 20, 1989 in part with contaminated <br /> soil. Further soil investigation will be necessary. <br /> 3 . Soil sample, T-3, taken January 25, 1989, from the <br /> northern-most dispenser indicated petroleum contamination <br /> levels of 1,500 ppm TPH gas. Further soil investigation <br /> will be necessary. <br /> 4. Upon investigation during a site visit on June 5, 1991, <br /> pipes leading to a 120 gallon pressure tank from the <br /> ground were located behind the store.
