Box 4023 <br /> Concord, CA 94524 <br /> RE: Hammer Lane Shell InIReply Refer to Site Code: 1660 <br /> 7910 Lower Sacramento Rd. r <br /> ii <br /> Stockton, CA 95210 <br /> San Joaquin County Public HealthServices, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the "Phase I Hydrogeologic <br /> Assessment" submitted by Delta Environmental on October 23 , 1989 . <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board's (CRWQCB) <br /> comments on the above mentioned report have been enclosed for <br /> your records. PHS/EHD has the following remarks and <br /> recommendations: <br /> is <br /> 1. Chain of custody procedures outlined in SW846 should be <br /> followed. <br /> 2 . Water samples from the '3 on-site well should have been <br /> submitted to a certified lab for TPH and BTX & E analysis. <br /> 3 . Additional sampling of-![the monitoring wells is required <br /> to verify analytical results. <br /> 4 . Remediation of the soil^ from the original tank removal <br /> that was placed back into the tank pit (TPH 4880ppm) shall <br /> be addressed in a Problem Assessment Report. <br /> All proposals and/or reports submitted must be accompanied by a <br /> letter of acknowledgment from the' responsible party(ies) . (See <br /> enclosed example. ) <br /> Include in all proposals and reports a site specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan describing personal protection for all field <br /> personnel (see 29 CFR 1910. 120 of` OSHA regulations) . <br /> This protection should include the use of personal <br /> protective equipment such as coveralls, gloves, steel toe <br /> and shank shoes or boots (leather or chemical resistant <br /> material) , safety glasses, and hard hats.
