CAMBRIA
Facsimile
Date: 12/19/97
To: Mary Meays,
't San Joaquin County Public Health Services
209-468-3433
f From: Tom Magney
707-935-4858
RE: Sample selection for analysis
7910 Lower Sacramento Rd.
Stockton-, California
Mary,
We are planning to analyze the sample showing the highest PID
reading and the two deepest samples from each boring. All samples
will be analyzed for TPPH as gas, STEX by EPA 8020, and MTBE; ETRE,
E DIPE, TAME and tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) by EPA Method 8260.` .
At this time we do not plan to analyze the grab water sample_
collected from boring B-1 at '14 feet below ground (fbg). We believe
this does not represent true ground water but rather a small perched
zone, possibly caused by percolation from dispenser island backfill
material. Our reasons are:
1) Samples collecetd below 17 fbg were moist, .not saturated.
2) Boring logs from SB-1 by Delta Environmental, -drilled within 15
feet of B-1, did not record any ground water to a total depth of 41.5
fbg.
3) Boring B-2, drilled 8 feet from B-1, did not encounter ground
water to a depth of. 28 fbg.
I
CAMMA,10 _ 270 Perkim Stmit Sono Tel 747 /931-a850 4 Pmr Office Box 259 coGl..95476 Fax 707 l 935-6649
.z
l d 61799S66L0L °vw0N0S vIaaNdo NO&J NdLE':5 L66l-6l-Z1. .
