Macarthur SITE CODE: 1663-1
Tracy, Ca
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) has completed the review of the "Groundwater
Monitoring Well Installation and Sampling Report" and the request
for closure and has the following comments.
The three rounds of sampling from the monitoring wells has not
detected contamination in the groundwater around the former tank
pit area. The groundwater flow direction has been consistent to
the northwest towards monitoring well #1.
Therefore, based on the confirmation groundwater sampling data
and the information previously provided to this agency, the
request for no further additional work at this site appears to be
warranted at this time.
Before a closure certification can be issued by this office, the
three monitoring wells at the site must be destroyed. Please
submit a workplan detailing how the wells are to be destroyed, a
permit application and the associated $60.00 fee to this office
by December 7, 1992.
If you have any questions, please contact Linda Turkatte, REHS,
of my staff at (209) 468-0339 .
Jogi Khaa4, M.D. , M.P.H.
Health kf icer J
aurie A.
