The sample <br /> numbers correspond to the locations listed on the slaps provided in <br /> the report. Sample number 7A showed signs of Xylene and <br /> E Ethlybenzene which were not detected at any other location on the <br /> site. We instructed the state certified laboratory Chromalab, Inc. <br /> to rerun the sample to see if the results would be the same. After <br /> performing the additional analysis the results were the same. On <br /> March 13, 1990 1 returned to the site and using the hand augers <br /> drilled back down to the water, table to resample this location. I <br /> ? delivered the sample to the laboratory and asked for a 24 hour <br /> turnaround. The results indicated what we had expected. There are <br /> no signs of BTEX, Gas or Diesel. The explanation that I can offer <br /> is that possible our sampling equipment had come into contact <br /> somehow with the detected constituents.
