r� w TECH/ART Ropart; 1/21/90 to PRATT CONSULTING COMPANY Page 1 0l2 pago.1 REPORT OF ANALYSES OF SAMPLES FROM A SITE INVESTIGATION AT 651 South MaCARTHUR DRIVE iN TRACY,CA PERFORMED ON JANUARY 16th, 199t1 FOR THE PRATT CONSULTING COMPANY Mr.John Pratt,owner of the Pratt Consulting Company,contracted with TECH/ART In January, 1990 to analyze samples collected by Mr. Pratt at a site In Tracy California which was suspectedof having received contamination from both gasoline and diesel fuel. f Arrangements ware made by TECH/Aar for: sample collection containers, analyses of the samples using a { Photcvac 10550 with an Isothermal oven and a high performance capillary column,and field analysis quality i assurance and control activities. The site investigation was performed on 1/16/90. Samples were courlered from the site by Dr.Schallt or Dr. Kraeger to the location of the Photovac whl,;i had been"set-up'in a hotel room within 0.5 mile of the site, ACTIVITIES Activities performed at the Instrument set-up room near the site Included: •Instrument checks(blanks), �-✓ ■Syringe checks(injections of clean airy, •Calibration runs; •Sample analyses. •Duplicate analyses, •Sample container check runs QUALITY ASSURANCE ACTIVITIES Quality assurance activities Included the use of pure benzene,toluene, ethyl benzene and m-xylene and a certifled gas mixture prepared by Scott Laboratories as callbrants.In addition,the Hamilton gas-tight syringes were cleaned and checked for cleanliness prior to use, and 40 ml Yefion/sllicon rubber top-septa certified i precfeaned bottles (from I-Chem)or other cleaned and checked sample bottles were used at all times. The carrier gas used was 'Ultra-Zero" grade compressed air which is certified for low hydrocarbon and !ow r moisture content by Linde-Union Carbide.
