I ROM
a
Borehole No. 1
Borehole No. 1, located approximately 7 feet east of tank hole,
was drilled to a total depth of 100 feet. Soils consisted of
layers of clayey silts, sands and gravels, and gravels to a depth
of 23 feet where a 6' thick silty clay layer was intercepted.
Below 30 feet, the soils generally consist of sands and gravels
until a depth of 73 feet where a 13' thick silty clay strata is
intercepted. . Below 66 feet deep, mostly gravels and sands are
found. Groundwater was at 866 feet deep. Drilling was terminated
at 100 feet deep.
This borehole was converted to monitor well No. MW-1; 15
feet of well screen was set. Due to sand flow in borehole, the
bottom screen ended at 91.5 feet deep. mw ` was developed using
an air lift pump on September 8th and 9th. A total of 50 gallons
of water was removed and stored on site. Qp
Borehole No. 2
Borehole No. 2, located approximately 5 feet south of the
southwest corner of the tank hole, was advanced to a depth of 31
feet. Soils were nearly identical to No. BH-1.
Borehole No. 3
Borehole No. 3 was advanced to a depth of 15 feet. Drill rig
broke and hole was terminated.
During the drilling operation, eachsoilsample was field-
tested using an OVA-128 meter and dragger
TPH (PPM) TPH (PPM)
BH No. 1 @ 5' 7 BH No. 2 @ 5' 0
10' 10 10' 0
15' 2 15' 2 PPM
20' 2 20' 0
25' 20 25' 0
30' 0 30' 0
35' 0
40' 0
45' 0
50' 0
TPH (PPM)
BE No. 3 @ 5' 0
10' 0
Prior to drilling BH No. 1, 2, and 3, four backhoe excava-
tions to 17' de- -
ep were:-made near-the tank-hole-and one-withan-t a-_--_- ----- -__- --- ---
tank hole.
