Ptamond Manteca CA-lune 1993 Groundwater Monitoring Page 1 <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> Steffen Robertson and Kirsten (U S ) Inc , (SRK) has been retained by the 650 Management Corporation <br /> (current management of Diamond Lumber, Inc ) to perform the quarterly groundwater monitoring of three <br /> monitoring wells Installed by SRK and three monitoring wells installed by Blymyer Engineers Inc (BEI), <br /> at the Diamond Lumber facility located at 151 South Main Street, Manteca, California The Scope of Work <br /> includes sampling six groundwater monitoring wells to investigate the potential for groundwater contaminant <br /> migration from an underground storage tank location from which a tank or tanks were removed in 1985 <br /> ' Three groundwater monitoring wells were installed by SRK In November, 1991, under the direct guidance <br /> of Ms Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS, San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) Specific information regarding subsurface soil conditions and monitoring well <br /> ' construction details is presented in SRK's Phase II Environmental Audit Report for this site dated December <br /> 1991 The original three groundwater monitoring wells were installed by BEI on November 15, 1989 in <br /> an area near the presumed UST location A copy of the BEI report is included as an appendix In SRK's <br /> Phase II Environmental Audit Report (December 1991) <br /> ' It should be noted that SRK recently (June 1993) received documentation from San Joaquin County <br /> including previously unreleased information submitted to the County by Blymer Engineers dated August <br /> 16, 1990 This data is included in Appendix A to this report, and changes the Blymer nomenclature of their <br /> rborings and wells We have also included further information supplied by San Joaquin County as well as <br /> review notes prepared by SRK for 650 Management dated June 17, 1993 It is apparent in review of this <br /> information that the contamination currently identified at the property appears to be consistent with that <br /> reported by Blymer, as updated in I990 <br /> This report addresses work activities completed on June 29 and 30, 1993, and represents the fifth monitoring <br /> event at this facility The quarterly groundwater sampling activities were performed by fully qualified SRK <br /> professionals under the technical guidance and direct supervision of Rob D Gwilym, an Environmental <br /> Geoscientist and registered Environmental Professional (NAEP 1792) also registered as an Environmental <br /> Geoscientist and registered as an Environmental Assessor in California (0035), and certified by the <br /> American Institute of Professional Geologists(4529) Geologic and hydrogeologic aspects were completed <br /> under supervision and guidance of Gregory W Knell, California Registered Geologist 4692 <br /> � D GFO`o <br /> GREGORY W KNELL A <br /> CP 0 4692 <br /> 0F CA <br /> 2 0 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The scope of work for the Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring includes <br /> • Measuring the static water level relative to the top of casing <br /> J1� 325o412u4)uiyMw Steffen Robertson and Kirsten <br />
