Touchstone's report documents UST removal activities that occurred on September
27, 1995,as well as,overexcavation activities that occurred on October 2 and October 4; 1995. The
characterization and subsequent disposal of all stockpiled soil is also described.
There were an estimated 310 cubic yards of soil transported to BFI Landfill in Livermore,California from
the subject site. To date, Chevron has received non-hazardous special waste manifests from BFI which
document acceptance of approximately 90 cubic yards of soil These have been attached for your records.
Copies of all remaining manifests will be provided to.your agency as soon as they are received by
Chevron. You will also find attached, copies of uniform hazardous waste manifests that document the
proper handling and removal of all former UST's and associated product piping.
Further corrective action has been proposed by Chevron and was submitted to your agency under separate
cover. It is anticipated that the submittal of this reportdescribing onsite activities during UST removal
satisfies your expectations of such as was discussed during our meeting at your offices on October 25,
1995. If further information is required, please contact me directly at(510) 842-8695.
Sincerely,
