Main St.,Ripon; CA
Attached Workplan(Pacific, 11/8/95)
Dear MT.Rowe:
Please find attached a workplan dated November 81 1995 which was prepared by Chevron's consultant,
Pacific Environmental Group,Inc. (Pacific),,.to describe corrective action measures at the subject site.
Pacific's workplan proposes the drilling of eighusoil'borings and the-subsequent installation of
groundwater monitoring wells into four of the borings.The.workplan also describes all associated soil and
groundwater sampling which will occur, during drilling:
As stated in the workplan,Pacific will begin the, permitting process as.soon as approval is received from
your agency. Actual drilling will begin within one week of obtaining°ihe necessary permits: A subsequent
report discussing Pacific's findings will be issued approximatelysix weeks from completion of fieldwork.
Verification monitoring of groundwater will be initiated,on a quarterly frequency beginning with the first
quarter following'the issuance of Pacific's report of findings.`Upon review of Pacific's data,Chevron will
evaluate the need for further correctiveaction and will submit to your-agency our recommendations for
such;as well as,an appropriate schedule for any future work to be performed.
Chevron would appreciate your-concurrence to the proposed well/boring locations as soon as possible. The
approved locations will be provided to Wendt Construction so that pilot holes can be formed for drilling
access in the new concrete surface, that is to be poured during the, first week of December.
It is-anticipated that the submittal of this corrective.action workplan satisfies your expectations of such as
was discussed during our meeting at your.offices on October 25, 1995.If further information is required,
please contact me,directlyat(510)'842-8695.
Sincerely, y
}t h
