Based <br /> r on the results of previous soil sampling activities,groundwater monitoring results over <br /> OA,0) the last year,sensitive receptor survey,and investigation of the beneficial uses of <br /> `t groundwater in the vicinity of the site,PACIFIC recommends closure of this site. <br /> This Case Closure Report has been prepared in accordance with the Tri-Regional Board <br /> Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground <br /> Tank Sites,and Appendix B.Requests for Closure. A completed Case Closure <br /> Checklist has been included as Attachment A. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> t/ �-p �. \ ll2(�b The subject site is an operating Chevron service station and is located at 344 East Main <br /> 4 1 t o�a lJ a Street,in Ripon,California(Figures I and 2).The site was originally constructed in <br /> June1969. Site topography is relatively flat and site elevation is approximately 70 feet <br /> above mean sea level(MSL). Land use in the site vicinity is primarily agricultural. The <br /> nearest large body of surface water is the Stanislaus River located approximately 2,000 <br /> feet to the east of the site(Figure 1). <br /> Available site information indicates that the original product facilities included four <br /> /—�l r ',1t•1}�� steel underground storage tanks(USTs)(two 10,000-gallon gasoline,one 5,000-gallon <br /> gasoline,and one 1,000-gallon used oil). Additionally,original facilities included two <br /> I � �� � ����N►fiGA�i�( product islands and one floor sump associated with a lube bay.
