F1 kY <br /> r <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> Chevron Service Station 9-1452, 334 East Main Street, Ripon, California <br /> Health and Safety <br /> As required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard <br /> "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910 120), and <br /> by California Occupational Health and Safety Administration (Cal-OSHA) "Hazardous <br /> Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (CCR Title 8, Section 5192), <br /> SECOR will prepare a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan for use during fieldwork The <br /> field staff and contractors will review the Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan before <br /> beginning field operations at the site <br /> Exploratory Drilling <br /> The soil borings will be advanced using Geoprobe equipment to approximately 40 feet bgs <br /> A SECOR representative using the Unified Soil Classification System and standard geologic <br /> • techniques will log continuous samples from each boring Soil samples for logging will be <br /> collected in the 1-inch hollow drive rod with a Lexan liner in approximately 4-foot lengths <br /> Soil samples for chemical analysis will be retained in the Lexan liners, capped with Teflon <br /> squares and plastic end caps, and sealed in clean zip-lock bags The samples will be placed <br /> on ice for transport to the laboratory accompanied by chain-of-custody documentation <br /> Down-hole drilling and sampling equipment will be steam-cleaned prior to and following <br /> completion of each sample interval <br /> Groundwater samples will be collected from each boring using a hydropunch Groundwater <br /> will be retrieved using either a stainless steel or Teflon bailer Groundwater samples will be <br /> placed in EPA approved sample vials and placed on ice for transport to the laboratory <br /> accompanied by chain-of-custody documentation Sampling equipment will be steam- <br /> cleaned prior to and following completion of each sample <br /> Laboratory Procedures for Soil and Groundwater Samples <br /> Selected soil samples collected will be analyzed for the presence of TPHg, BTEX, and <br /> MtBE, DIPE, TAME, EtBE,TBA, EDB, 1,2-DCA, ethanol, and methanol by EPA Method <br /> 8260B <br />
