Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
SUBJECT: BEACON STATION NO. 492, 470 NORTH MAIN STREET,
MANTECA, CALIFORNIA
Dear Ms. Cotulla:
Enclosed for your review and files is a copy of our consultant's Third
Quarter- 1990 Quarterly Ground-Water- Monitoring Report report for the
above-referenced Ultramar facility. As the data show, nondetectable to
low levels of TPH and BTEX continue to be found in water from wells at the
site. Unfortunately, BTEX concentrations appear to be increasing in wells
closest to Alameda Street since the second quarter of 1990. It has come
to our attention that asubsurface investigation is underway across
Alameda Street by another oil company.
We would appreciate it if .you could send us any information regarding the
definition of the soil -and ground-water problem at the facility across
Alameda Street from ours. As can be seen from Table 2, the highest
concentration is found in monitoring well MW2 which is closest to Alameda
Street.
C
'%&
MACV
A Member of the Ultramar Group of Companies N1 Quality and Service
Ultramar
