The
free product observed in well MW-1, therefore, is probably due to
residual contamination. Applied GeoSystems recommends that
subjective analyses continue to be performed on a monthly basis.
If free product continues to be present in the well, delineation
and active remediation may be necessary. As an interim remedial
response, removal of free product by bailing should be continued.
We also recommend that the vapor-extraction system be
implemented, and its effectiveness in reducing contaminant
concentrations in soil and ground-water be evaluated.
i
- 5
y
s _ 4
S wr
.
