Contaminant Contours
Figure 11: MtBE Plume Contour Map with Lines of Section — Shows the extent of soil
contaminated by MtBE. It should be noted that the samples were collected from the walls
of the excavated tank pit between July and August of 1998, No MtBE was detected in any
r samples collected below 14 feet bgs.
Lr Figure 12: MtBE Cross Section (Refer to ,Figure 11 Cross Section C-C') — Shows the
estimated extent of MtBE in cross section.
Figure 13: MtBE Cross Section (Refer to Figure 11 Cross Section D-D') — Shows the
estimated extent of MtBE in cross section.
Figure 14: Diesel Plume Contour Map with Lines of Section — Shows the extent of soil
contamination reported during the site investigation. No diesel was detected below 13 feet
bgs.
LFigure 15: Diesel Cross Section (Refer to Figure 14 Cross Section E-E') — Shows the
estimated extent of Diesel contamination in cross section.
Figure 16: Diesel Cross Section (Refer to Figure 14 Cross Section F-F') — Shows the
estimated extent of Diesel contamination in cross section.
9. Remedial System
Other than over excavation during tank removal, stockpile aeration and subsequent natural
attenuation, no remedial activities have taken place at the site.
10. Reports/Information
GUnauthorized Release Form (URF), tank closure reports, QMRs, and other correspondence
are on file with the County and CRWQCB and may not be included in this summary report.
11. BAT
Not applicable.
12. Background Condition
Since the tanks have been removed and the primary soil contamination source underwent
r aeration prior to backfilling the tank pits, eventually background conditions will be
L3 achieved in the soil. It appears that groundwater was not impacted by petroleum
hydrocarbons released at the site. Kleinfelder advanced three boreholes to 51.5 feet bgs in
LMarch of 1997. No petroleum hydrocarbons were detected below 14 feet bgs during the site
investigation.
\
