The purpose of the survey is to
locate any municipal, domestic, or agricultural wells within a 2,000-ft radius.
To meet the survey objective, the following tasks were performed:
L
• Geological Technics Inc. personnel reconnoitered the site on August 25, 2000, to make a
physical search for any wells in the area.
• Specific well logs were requested from the State of California Department of Water Resources
(DWR) both to aid in identifying local wells and to specify their construction details. The
DWR well logs that were available.for this area are included in Appendix A. Thirteen of the
nineteen wells located are found outside of the 2000 ft distance.
• Escalon High School was visited during the field search.
Well location details are shown in Table 1 and the approximate well positions are plotted in Map
1. During the field visit, the following items were noted:
L • Two municipal wells (Escalon City Wells) were documented.
• Escalon High School staff indicated that an irrigation well is present.on the school property,
but domestic use is provided by municipal water supply(Escalon).
• Two DWR well logs are included for Fisk Ave. The addresses of these residences' could not
be confirmed, however all of the residences in the area are serviced by City of,Escalon
municipal water supply. So.if these.two wells still exist, they are probably not used for
Ldrinking water purposes.
