The Site is bounded by Highway 5 to the northeast, a business to the <br /> northwest and South Manthey Road to the south. The surrounding land use is mixed residential <br /> and commercial. <br /> Site History/Assessments <br /> In February 2002, soil contamination was identified by an environmental investigation. To date. <br /> eight monitoring wells have been installed and monitored regularly. A Site map showing the <br /> location of the current USTs, monitoring wells and groundwater level contours is provided at the <br /> end of this five year summary. <br /> Remediation Summary <br /> • Free Product: No free product was documented throughout the life of this case <br /> • Soil Excavation: Unknown <br /> • In-Situ Soil/ Groundwater Remediation: Batch groundwater extraction, removed <br /> 27,400 gallons of contaminated groundwater and 0.32 pounds of MTBE. Soil vapor <br /> extraction and ozone sparging are proposed. <br />
