FOURTH QUARTER, 2002 <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> AND ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> dAMAR OIL DISTRIBUTION <br /> MARCH 2003 <br /> On August 21, 2000, JPCA did a further subsurface investigation by drilling and sampling one soil <br /> boring (B1) and installing and sampling two additional monitoring wells (MW-4 and MW-5) The <br /> soil boring was drilled to approximately 115 feet bgs and sampled every 5 feet MW-4 and MW-5 <br /> were drilled to approximately 75 feet bgs with soil samples collected every 5 feet Groundwater <br /> samples were collected from MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4 and MW-5 on August 30, 2000 The <br /> results of this investigation are documented in JPCA's 2' Phase II Environmental Assessment <br /> Report dated October 25, 2000 <br /> GHH assumed environmental consulting responsibilities for the site in July 2001 <br /> In April 2002, GHH Submitted an Additional Assessment Workplan in response to County <br /> directives for additional investigation at the site The County approved the workplan in a letter <br /> dated May 28, 2002 <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The following is a brief summary of the scope of work authorized by Mr McErath, which <br /> consisted of conducting quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling activities at the site on <br /> December 19, 2002 and completing the CPT and geoprobe investigation on January 13-16, 2003 <br /> Fourth Quarter 2002 Quarterly Monitoring <br /> Measure depths to groundwater in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 <br /> Purge a minimum of three equivalent well volumes of groundwater from each of the <br /> wells and monitor for pH, temperature and conductivity <br /> Collect groundwater samples from the monitonng wells <br /> Analyze water samples from the five monitoring wells for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPH G), total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH D), <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), and the fuel oxygenates <br /> MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE and TAME <br /> Prepare this QMR for submittal to the County and Regional Board <br /> CPT and Geoprobe Investigation <br /> Prepare a site specific health and safety plan (HSP) <br /> Obtain necessary boring permits from San Joaquin County <br /> Obtain Underground Service Alert (USA) clearance <br /> Define subsurface hydrogeologic characteristics through the drilling of three CPT <br /> borings <br /> 3 <br />
