• •
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT WORKPLAN
• JAMAR SERVICE,STOCKTON
APRIL 2002
This workplan proposes to conduct an off-site investigation to the southeast using three
CPT boreholes of 100 to 150-feet bgs to define down gradient subsurface conditions The
data collected during this study will be used to determine locations for the installation of
two or three additional groundwater monitoring wells to be installed to approximately 75-
feet bgs An extraction well immediately south of MW-1 will be installed upon completion
of the CPT investigation and monitoring well installation In addition,a sensitive receptor
survey will be conducted to identify any water supply wells, surface water sources or other
sensitive receptors within 2,000-feet of the site, which could be impacted by the petroleum
hydrocarbon and fuel oxygenate levels in the groundwater A water sample will be taken
from the closest domestic well identified during the sensitive receptor survey
r
After monitoring well mstallation, the well elevations will be surveyed and the groundwater
data from these wells will be used to evaluate the direction of groundwater flow and
gradient An aquifer performance test(APT) and vapor extraction test(VET)will be
conducted on the extraction well The new wells will then be sampled and analyzed for
TPH G,TPH D,BTEX, 1,2-DCA,EDB, and fuel oxygenates
i
SCOPE OF WORK
The following specific tasks will be completed to meet the objectives stated above
• Preparation of a site specific health and safety plan (HSP).
Obtain necessary boring and well permits from the County
Obtain Underground Service Alert(USA) clearance
• Drill and abandon CPT borings CPT-1 through CPT-3
• Drill, sample and abandon twinned borings HP-1 through HP-3
• Sample selected soil samples for TPH G,TPH D,BTEX, 1,2-DCA, EDB, and fuel
oxygenates
• Analyze groundwater samples for TPH G,TPH D, BTEX, 1,2-DCA, EDB, and fuel
oxygenates
• Perform a sensitive receptor survey to identify water supply wells, surface waters and
other sensitive receptors within 2,000-feet of the site
3
I
I
