l analyzed for TPHG by EPA Method 8015 modified with purge and trap
preparation 5030 (GC/FID) with detection limits of 50ug/1. EPA
Method 602 will be utilized for BTEX with a detection limit of
0 . 5ug/1 as required by the SJCEHD.
Prior to purging the wells, the depth to groundwater was measured
in the three wells, by an electronic probe, from the mark located
on the top of each casing.
The results of the analysis of the groundwater samples in parts
per billion (ppb) are shown in Table 4. The laboratory data
sheets with detection limits and COC documentation are contained
in Appendix B.
TABLE 4

Groundwater Sample Analysis Results in Vft. r 'n1
SAMPLE TPHG TPHD MTBE B T E X
MW-1 130 3 . 7 130 32 19 1. 5 7 .4
MW-2 22 1.5 0. 24 10 0 . 38 0 . 12 1. 5
Mw-3 59 7 . 4 ND 21 j 68 0 . 5 15
ND = NOT DETECTED
Gradient Calculation
Prior to purging the wells and collecting groundwater samples,
the depth to groundwater was measured. A survey of the wells in
order to calculate a gradient was completed using the cement
sidewalk corner on the southeastern corner of the store as a
benchmark with an assumed elevation of 30 feet.
The depth to groundwater was measured in the three wells, by an
electronic probe, from the mark located on the top of each
casing. The resulting data is shown in Table 5 .
I
t
9
