1
to a State Certified Laboratory, under COC documentation, for
analyses. A maximum of 5 groundwater samples is anticipated to
be collected.
Sampling equipment will be decontaminated- using tri-sodium
phosphate solution (TSP) and twice rinsed with the last rinse
using distilled water prior to sampling. Soil cuttings will be
stored on and covered with visqueen.
Task 3
I
The borings will be logged by inspection of the samples and
classified using the Unified Soil Classification System by a
California Certified Engineering Geologist.
Task 4
JPCA will measure the groundwater depth in the five monitoring
wells with an electronic probe prior to purging. A new survey to
establish the well heads elevation with respect to each other
will be completed. The gradient will be calculated for the site
based on depth to water data collected and surveyed top of the
casing elevations.
Task 5
The soil and groundwater samples collected will be analyzed for
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPHD) , Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPHG) , Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene
and Xylene (BTEX) via EPA protocol 8015 Modified: Oxygenates via
EPA protocol 8260 at a California State Certified Laboratory.
Task 6
A well survey will be conducted within 2,000 feet of the subject
property. The survey will include a review of the federal, state
and local files available with a visual inspection of the
properties within the 2, 000 foot radius of the subject site.
Task 7 !
A report will be prepared to document the results of the
investigation and the laboratory analyses of the samples. The
report will include a summary of the field work, boring logs, COC
documentation, certified analytical results , conclusions and
recommendations regarding the potential environmental
liabilities, if any, at the site. Two copies of the report will
be submitted to the client and one to the SJC-PHS-EHD as required
by the drilling permit.
3
