June 7, 2005 <br /> Stockton California Results of Additional Groundwater Assessment <br /> • (upstream) of the survey area The cut off Mormon Slough is tributary to the Stockton Deep <br /> Water Channel at Morelli Boat Ramp Park approximately 4 miles west of the survey area <br /> No other naturally occurring surface water bodies were identified within the survey area <br /> As discussed above, the land use in the vicinity of the site includes light commercial and <br /> residential use Based on available mapping data (2004) there are numerous residential <br /> properties in the survey area in all directions from the site The East Main Street frontage <br /> east and west of the site consists mainly of light commercial properties An elementary <br /> school and a church are located across the East Main Street/Broadway intersection and <br /> across Broadway, respectively, from the site <br /> Twelve well locations were identified within the 2000-foot radius of the site as summarized <br /> in the Well Search table and Map of Wells contained in Appendix H Eleven wells were <br /> identified or tentatively identified as domestic, and one as municipal supply The locations <br /> of the wells are approximately 600 to 2000 feet from the site <br /> The municipal supply well is owned by the California Water Service that provides public <br /> water supply in the survey area The municipal well is located approximately 2000 feet east <br /> of the site on Oro Avenue and is screened from 144 to 420 feet bsg According to California <br /> Water Service, the municipal well has been out of service for 15 years because of solvent <br /> contamination reportedly from lumber treatment operations approximately 0 7 miles north- <br /> northeast of the well No other California Water Service wells are located in the survey area <br /> CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Subsurface investigations conducted at the site indicate that impacted soil is mainly limited <br /> to the immediate area of the eastern dispenser island and does not extend beyond the <br /> property boundaries of the site The near-reporting-limit soil DCA concentrations collected <br /> Addtn1GWassmnt <br /> Pr4lect No 1474 15 12 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC <br />
