The site is situated at the southeast corner of Main Street and <br /> Jason Street in Manteca, California as is shown on the Site Vicinity Map, Plate 1. <br /> According to information supplied by The Customer Company, two underground <br /> gasoline storage tanks have been previously removed from the site and subsurface <br /> investigations have been conducted by J H. Kleinfelder of Sacramento, California <br /> Three 2-inch diameter groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2 & MW-3) were installed <br /> as part of the Kleinfelder investigation. Groundwater samples were collected from the <br /> wells for laboratory analysis on March 3, 1987, April 28, 1987, and May 5, 1988. <br /> Hydrocarbon concentrations were detected by laboratory analysis of the initial samples <br /> collected from MW-1 and MW-2 Hydrocarbons were not detected by laboratory analysis <br /> of three groundwater samples collected during the two subsequent sampling events We <br />
