Box 886 <br /> Benecia, CA. 94510 <br /> Subject- Report on Subsurface Investigation Work at Cheaper Store # 76, 890 <br /> North Main Street, Manteca, California <br /> Dear Mr Johnson <br /> Parker Environmental Services is pleased to provide this letter report concerning <br /> the subsurface investigation work completed at Cheaper Store #76, as outlined by <br /> our work plan dated July 30, 1991. All work described in the work plan has been <br /> completed and is described in this report. <br /> Introduction and Site History <br /> The project site is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of North Main <br /> Street and Jason Street, 1/2 mile north of the town center (see Figure 1 - Vicinity <br /> Map) Two underground gasoline storage tanks were removed from the subject <br /> property in February, 1987 Soil samples collected during the tank removal showed <br /> detectable amounts of TPH-g and BTEX. Three monitoring wells were installed <br /> March 2, 1987, by Kleinfelder, Inc., and developed and sampled March 3, 1987. <br /> Groundwater was measured at 13 feet below ground surface (BGS). Groundwater <br /> samples showed non-detect for TPH-g, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes Benzene <br /> was detected at 3 5 ppb in Monitoring Well 1, and 13 ppb in Monitoring Well 3. <br /> Groundwater samples collected on April 28, 1987, May 27, 1988 by Kleinfelder, Inc., <br /> and November 12, 1990 by Dames and Moore, Inc, all analyzed as non detect for <br /> TPH-g and BTEX. <br />
