Page 7 <br /> Pressure transducer probes were placed in Monitoring Wells 1,2 and 3 and were <br /> hooked up to an Insitug Datalogger 2000. A probe was not placed in Monitoring <br /> Well 4 because Insitu informed us that the probe cable picked up signals from the <br /> Grunfos (brand) pump and tended to erase Datalogger 2000 settings and information <br /> during a pump test. Measurements for MW 4 were obtained manually using a Keck <br /> water level probe. <br /> The pump test was started at 415 p.m on October 15, 1991, and the pump was turned <br /> off at 11.00 a m. October 16, 1991, for a drawdown time of 18 hours and 45 minutes. <br /> Measurements of the recovery were taken for two hours after the pump was turned <br /> off Pumping rate during the test averaged approximately 215 gallons per minute. <br /> An attempt was made 16 hours into the test to increase the pump rate, but the pump <br /> began sucking air almost immediately, so the pump was returned to the 215 gallons <br /> per minute rate. <br /> Readings of the water level in each well were taken four times between 415 and 7.00 <br /> p m. and hourly thereafter until the pump was turned off at 11.00 a m After each <br /> round of readings, the pump flow rate was measured by placing the discharge water <br /> in a 1/2 gallon measuring container and timing the rate of fill.
