��y1RpNM1�rN�9t 'rERvi ' October 18, 1995 Project 113-13 Mr. John Johnson The Customer Company P O Box 886 Benicia, CA 94510 Subject Report on May 19, 1992, Subsurface Sampling and Analysis Results at Cheaper #76, 890 North Main Street, Manteca, California Dear Mr Johnson This report describes the field methods used to obtain subsurface soil samples and a groundwater sample from the Subject site and the laboratory analysis results for the samples The purpose of this Site investigation is to evaluate if petroleum hydrocarbons are present in the soil near the former tank excavation wails by collecting soil samples above the water table. A groundwater sample was collected from MW4 and analyzed to evaluate groundwater conditions SITE DESCRIPTION The project site is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Jason and Main Streets in Manteca, California (see Figure i - Site Location Map) The site measures about 0 5 acres in size and has a single structure in the eastern portion of the site and gas pumps under a canopy near Main Street. The site is paved except for landscaped areas near the corner and along the southern property line. Two 10,000 gallon underground gasoline storage tanks are between the store and the gas islands The site is currently used as a convenience store facility and retails gasoline under the name Cheaper! #76. SITE BACKGROUND On February 25, 1987, two 10,000 gallon steel tanks were removed by California Petroleum Equipment from the subject site.
