Box 2009 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Dear Mr. Valinotti: <br /> Re: Submittal of Removal Plans for Two (2) Empty Underground <br /> Storage Tanks Located at Stockton Center <br /> The purpose of this letter is: 1) to transmit the removal plan <br /> for the subject tanks, and 2) to formally request an extension to <br /> the 90-day time limit allowed for completion of tank removal <br /> after removal plans are approved by the county. <br /> After conducting an inspection of East Bay Municipal Utility <br /> District's (EBMUD) Stockton Center Facility located at 1804 West <br /> Main Street, San Joaquin Health Department requested EBMUD to <br /> submit removal plans by February 27, 1987 for the two empty <br /> underground storage tanks listed below: <br /> Tank ID# Tank Capacity Previous Contents <br /> 46964 1,000 gallons Leaded gasoline <br /> 46964-1 1 ,000 gallons Diesel fuel <br /> Underground Storage Tank Removal and Plot Plans are enclosed. <br /> February 3, 1987, EBMUD verbally requested an extension of the <br /> time allowed for tank removal during a telephone conversation <br /> between Mr. Bill Snavely of San Joaquin Health Department and <br /> Karen Lackey of EBMUD. Mr. Snavely indicated that consideration <br /> for an extension would be made if a written request accompanied <br /> the tank removal plan. <br /> EBMUD requests that San Joaquin County Health Department extend <br /> the 90-day time schedule for completion of tank removal until <br /> September 1, 1987 . The two underground storage tanks are empty <br /> and pose no immediate threat to the environment.
