Public Health Services BVWST Project 40429.200 <br /> Diane Hinson September 2, 1993 <br /> The additional sampling will include the collection of two HydroPunch II® <br /> samples, HP-6 and HP-7, and the installation of two groundwater monitoring <br /> wells, MW-8 and MW-9. HP-6 will be installed on the north side of the <br /> former garage building and HP-7 will be installed on the south side of the <br /> former garage building. MW-8 will be installed between the former garage <br /> and the shop buildings near HP-4. MW-9 will be installed between MW-1 and <br /> MW-4 and MW-6. The location of MW-9 will be modified according to the <br /> results of HP-6 and 'HP-7. <br /> This-phase of the field work-is scheduled- for September 6--and 7', 1993. <br /> HP-6 and HP-7 will be collected on the morning of -September 6, 1993, and <br /> submitted to the District' s laboratory for total petroleum.hydrocarbons in <br /> the gasoline range (TPH-g) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes <br /> (BTEX) analyses on 24-hour turn around. MW-8 will be installed on the <br /> afternoon of September 6, 1993. MW-9 will be installed on September 8, <br /> 1993, upon receiving the analytical results from HP-6 and HP-7. <br /> The HydroPunch II® borings- will be continuously cored. The monitoring . <br /> wells will be sampled at 5-foot intervals, at changes . in lithoiogy, and at <br /> areas of suspected contamination. One sample will be collected at or near <br /> the soil/water interface. <br /> The two new wells will be developed and sampled in accordance with the work <br /> plan. At this time, all of the wells will be monitored for water levels, <br /> and five of the existing wells, MW-1, .MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, and MW-6 will be <br /> sampled in accordance with the procedures listed in the work plan. The <br /> groundwater sample from MW-8 will be submitted for total lead analyses in <br /> addition to TPH-g and BTEX. <br /> BUST will await your. approval of this addendum prior to proceeding with <br /> the scheduled activities.
