HP-6 will be installed on the north side of the
former garage building and HP-7 will be installed on the south side of the
former garage building. MW-8 will be installed between the former garage
and the shop buildings near HP-4. MW-9 will be installed between Mw-1 and
MW-4 and MW-6. The location of MW-9 will be modified according to the
results of HP-6 and HP-7.
This phase of the field work is scheduled for September 6 and 7, 1913.
HP-6 and HP-7 will be collected on the morning of-September 6, 1993, and
submitted to the District's laboratory for total petroleum hydrocarbons in
the gasoline range (TPH-g) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes
(BTEX) analyses an 24-hour turn around. MW-8 will be installed on tie
afternoon of September 6, 1993. MW-9 will be installed on September 6,
1993, upon receiving the analytical results from HP-6 and HP-7.
The HydroPunch IIa' borings will be continuously cored. The monitoring
wells will be sampled at 5-foot intervals, at changes in lithology, and at
areas of suspected contamination. One sample will be collected at or near
the soil/water interface.
The two new wells will be developed and sampled in accordance with the work
plan. At this time, all of the wells will be monitored for water levels,
and five of the existing wells, MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, and MW-6 will be
sampled in accordance with the procedures listed in the work plan. The
groundwater sample from MW-B will be submitted for total lead analyses in
addition to TPH-g and BTEX.
BVWST will await your approval of this addendum prior to proceeding with
the scheduled activities.
