{
M1 The sampling device (bailer) was thoroughly decontaminated prior to and after each use to
L, prevent cross contamination of samples. The thin nylon line used to lower the bailer was
removed and discarded after each-use. Decontamination of the bailer consisted of an initial wash
with an alconoxlpotable water solution followed by a thorough potable water rinse followed by
" a final rinse with distilled water. '
The top of each PVC well casing was previously surveyed to establish the elevations of those
wells relative to an arbitrary datum of 100 feet. Using the well casing elevations and the
G
measured depths to water, the groundwater elevation at each well was calculated.
The water purged from the wells'.and used to decontaminate equipment was containerized in 55 1
gallon drums which were labeled and left onsite. All water sampling was performed in
accordance with WESTON's site specific health and safety plan which was available onsite
during field activities. The field work for this project was performed under Level D personal
protection.
i
a
]1
1
M _
1
{
1 F
1
 I
RYrS/EBMUDRP'r.WP OMM92
