KLEIN FELDER
I  i
5 ANALYTICAL RESULTS
i.j -
5.1 ANALYTICAL LABORATORY
Soil samples were delivered to Agriculture and Priority Pollutants Laboratories, Inc.
(APPL) of Fresno, California and ground water samples were delivered to Chemwest
' Analytical Laboratories of Sacramento, California. Both APPL and Chemwest are '
certified by the State Department of Health to perform the required tests. Samples were
- delivered to the respective laboratories under Kleinf.'elder chain-of-custody. €
Eight soil samples collected from the soil borings were analyzed by APDL for purgeable !
l
aromatic hydrocarbons using Modified EPA Method 602 and l hydrocarbons by EPA
r total `
z r Method 3540 or 3550 with GC-FID,ethylene dibromide(EDB)and organic lead.
_ t
 r
r j 5.2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS(SOIL)
Analytical results for samples collected in borings B-1. B-3 and B-4 were none detected for
Cr BTEC. Results from boring B-2,sample number 37379(11 feet),contained concentrations t
of toluene, ethylbenzene benzene and xylenes above the method detection limit. Total t
. hydrocarbons were-detected at 39 milligrams.per kilogram (mg/kg)in the 11-foot sample
from boring B-1 and 140 mg/kg in the 6-foot sample from boring B-2. A summary of the
analytical results appears on Table 3. The APPL laboratory results are in AF
pendix C. # .,
EDB and organic lead were none detected for each of the eight soil samples,
Y - -
r c'
f
STV Y
EBMUD-001-89'001 11 -
r I
11a't`}
t
f ;
F1
