Wells
don't necessarily need to be destroyed, but if CP keeps any, they must enter into a
Monitoring and Reporting agreement with the EHD. why any UST site would keep a well
active is beyond my understanding, but it's an option.
I'm back from a week off and my desk looks like a recycling center so it may take time for
me to get down to this site's priority.
you should know a permit PER parcel is needed for well destructions. as in onsite vs
offsite. the ONSITE permit will include all wells (monitoring, vapor, sparge, etc) actually
on the site and the fee will be $366 application fee plus $122 PER WELL. as an
example, 10 wells would have a permit fee of$1586. ($366 + 10 X $122).
OFFSITE wells in the City right of way need a separate permit to match each/every City
permit issued or private parcel where a well is located. I know of 9 wells offsite , I think
ALL of which are in the City right of way. if the City issues ONE permit for all of them,
you need to submit a separate EHD permit application and $1464 and a copy of the City
encroachment permit. But if the City issues multiple encroachment permits, we will need
to match each with an EHD permit.
IF any well is located on another parcel (private? Home Depot? burger place?), then j
each parcel needs its own permit application and fee.
call me at (209) 468-3454 to clarify exactly how many applications you'll need to submit
and the fees required.
I'll be uploading the official 'concurrence' letter to Geotracker as priorities allow.
mike
From: Chevlen, Benjamin [mailto:Benjamin.Chevlen@stantec.com]
Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 20119:59 AM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Subject: RE: 76 #5886
Mike—Please see for my responses to your various questions...
