r-
Could you address the following for me please:
1- well construction specs for the "UST-MW" please. ie: date installed, construction
specs (size & material of casing, screened interval and size, sand, seal, etc. Also,
your/COP intentions for this well if NFA granted. destroy it? leave it? if so, why?
Stantec does not have precise details regarding the construction specs for well UST-
MW. In ERI's 12/28/99 CAP, the well was proposed to be 4 inches in diameter and
installed to a depth of 12 feet (no details regarding screen, filter pack, seal, casing
material, etc. provided). In ERI's 7/20/00 quarterly report, ERI stated "The following
tasks were performed during the second quarter 2000... in general accordance with the
CAP (ERI, December 28, 1999) and without a County well installation permit, ERI
installed the UST cavity well at the site." Stantec cannot locate any report prepared
specifically to document the installation of the UST cavity well.
If NFA is granted, ConocoPhillips would destroy the well, unless the property owner
requested ownership and responsibility of the well be transferred to them.
2- your NFAR history STOPS at "During third quarter 2001......". What has been done
on site since end of 2001 to present.???? In Section 2.7 Stantec omitted including the
installation of the ozone sparge system (discussed with insufficient detail in Section 2.5).
In January 2002, ERI oversaw the installation of sparge wells AS-1 through AS-5, AS-
6S/D, AS-7, AS-8, AS-9S/D and AS-10 (documented in ERI's Air Sparge Welland
System Installation report dated 4/22/02). Stantec does not have any records of
additional wells being installed, and no additional soil borings being advanced at the site
since that time.
In 2009, Stantec prepared a Sensitive Receptor Survey, dated December 3, 2009. In
Stantec's Results of Hydrogeologic Modeling, dated January 6, 2010, Stantec evaluated
the expected future down-gradient migration of MTBE in the groundwater.
all for now.
thanks
mike.
1/5/2011
ail
