I'll let ConocoPhillips know that some well box repairs need to be performed. The
ConocoPhillips department responsible for procuring access agreements will be attempting again this week to
obtain access to the TransAmerica property to park a vac truck in their driveway for three monthly batch
extraction events to be performed during the weekend. At this time, we have ceased perusing access for the
previously proposed well cluster/soil borings on their property. Hopefully,we'll be able to obtain access for the
vac truck events. I'll keep you posted.
Benjamin Chevlen,P.G.
Senior Geologist
Stantec
Ph: (805)230-1266 Ext. 293
Fx: (805)230-1277
Cell:(916)425-4849
benjamin.chevlen@stantec.com
stantec.com
The content of this email is the confidential property of Stantec and should not be copied, modified, retransmitted,or used for
any purpose except with Stantec's written authorization. I did see MW-8 sampled... the process was fine.
unfortunately, two of the three well heads had grout that dropped down and is now
OUT of the traffic boxes... grout needs to be added to ALL well boxes so that it
comes up into each box.
also, I remined all of the TRC fellows to ensure that the well caps on each is tight
enough so as to NOT be able to just pull on the lock to remove it. what good is a
lock on a well cap if you can just pull it off?????
and btw, MW-9 area is typical narrow sidewalk (-42 inches wide) and will NOT
tolerate a sampling truck on it...or a full sized drill rig. looks like unless a 'lets play
nice' attitude is in play, these wells will have to be handbailed, or at least purged
and sampled w/o a vehicle in the driveway or on the sidewalk.
MW-9 must have been placed with the rig IN the driveway. no way any truck was
1/11/2010
