ERI 205513 QS7 Tosco 76 Service Station 5886 Stockton California January 29 1999 <br /> calculated hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 004 Historical groundwater flow <br /> directions and gradients are shown on the Groundwater Flow Direction and Gradient <br /> Diagram (Plate 3) <br /> TPPHg and benzene were not detected at or above laboratory method detection limits <br /> in groundwater samples collected from the groundwater monitoring wells Diesel <br /> range hydrocarbons were detected in well MW713 at 53 parts per billion (ppb) <br /> - MTBE was detected in the all groundwater monitoring wells ranging from 2 7 ppb to <br /> 5,000 ppb using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) method 8260 <br /> Oxygenated compounds ethanol, tertiary butanol, dl-Isopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl <br /> tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), and tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) were not detected <br /> at or above laboratory method detection limits <br /> • Tosco has successfully obtained access agreements from several property owners directly <br /> across March Lane (south and southwest) However, Tosco has been unsuccessful in its <br /> attempts to obtain an access agreement with the owner of the property adjacent to the western <br /> Tosco property boundary to allow off-site use of a CPT <br /> • Tosco requested that the County assist in obtaining an access agreement with Thompson, <br /> Partners Limited, the property owners of 2727 March Lane (IN AND OUT BURGER), <br /> Stockton, California to facilitate implementation of the off-site CPT investigation The <br /> Thompson Partners Limited office is located at 1919 Grand Canal Boulevard, #B-5, Stockton, <br /> California 95207 <br /> NEXT QUARTER ACIVITIES <br /> • Tosco is expecting approval from the County of the proposed CPT locations <br /> • Tosca will continue quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling at the subject site <br /> • ERI and Tosco will continue to conduct a comprehensive review of the data acquired during <br /> previous work The results will be presented to the County in quarterly reports, which <br /> describe the status of the proposed work by the dates established by the County <br /> • ERI and Tosco are presently evaluating the possibility of drilling within the sidewalk portion of <br /> the City of Stockton, March Lane right-of-way and properties located west of the In and Out <br /> Burger property <br /> The ongoing work will be completed in accordance with the procedures outlined in ERI's Work Plan <br /> for Supplemental Environmental Investigation (dated July 14, 1997) and Addendum to Work Plan <br /> (dated August 8, 1997) ERI will submit a comprehensive Soil and Water Investigation Report within <br /> 45 days following completion of the field work, including installation of monitoring wells <br /> 4 <br />
