Water supply for station. <br /> 3• If a spill occurred determine affected areas and regulatory <br /> involvement by interviewing Public Health Department and <br /> Fire Department. <br /> B. Local Physiography. <br /> 1 . Plot Plan - provided by USA Petroleum <br /> 2. Local area map only on sites where known problem <br /> exists. <br /> 3. Utility maps not required; however, note location <br /> of storm drain and sewer manhole. <br /> 4. USGS topographic maps. <br /> C. Basic hydrogeology. <br /> 1 . Research local geology and hydrogeology through published <br /> data. <br /> 2. Soil characteristics based on boring log data. <br /> 3. Local water well data based on visual reconnaaissance <br /> of area and limited contacts with Public Health Department, <br /> local water agencies and Department of Water Resources. <br /> D. Miscellaneous. <br /> 1 . Additional factors such as nearby locations which could <br /> be contributing to a problem. <br /> 2. Specific regulatory concerns. <br /> II . Observation Well Installation <br /> A. Assist in determining general location for soil - boring/monitoring <br /> wells. <br /> B. Drilling and well installations. <br /> 1 . A Pacific hydrogeologist will log all soil borings/monitoring <br /> wells using USA format boring logs , and will determine <br /> appropriate completion depths and well construction details. <br /> 2. Borings/wells will be installed at the location and depths <br /> specified. <br />
