WELL CONSTRUCTION REPORT <br /> USA STATION#110 -STOCKTON <br /> DECEMBER, 1995 <br /> MW-5 was intended to be located in front of the Montezuma School However, due to <br /> underground utilities, the boring was moved to a position on the south side of Farmington Road <br /> on the USA site MW-6 was moved from its originally proposed position to the parking lot in <br /> front of the shopping center at 2101 East Manposa Road, as shown in Figure 3 <br /> 3.1 Permitting <br /> Well permits were obtained from PHS/EHD for MW-4-P, MW-5-P and MW-6-P Encroachment <br /> pernuts for public right-of-way access were obtained from the City of Stockton and Caltrans <br /> However, due to relocating MW-4P to private property, the public right-of-way permits <br /> ultimately were not required Prior to locating MW-4-P and MW-6-P on private property USA <br /> received permission from the property owners <br /> ' 3.2 Underground Utility Survey <br /> Prior to conducting any subsurface investigations Underground Service Alert was notified to <br /> locate any underground utilities in the vicinity of the wells This information was used to assess <br /> potential drilling obstructions beneath the subject site <br /> 3.3 Safety Plan <br /> A site specific Site Safety Plan (SSP) was developed by Park to nuninize the potential for <br /> accidents and for potential exposure to dangerous chemicals, as well as to identify the nearest <br /> emergency medical facility A copy of the SSP is presented as Appendix A and was present on <br /> site during all field activities <br /> 3.4 Well Construction <br /> Three groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the locations shown on Figure 3 The wells <br /> were advanced using a CME-75 truck mounted drill ng owned and operated by Spectrum <br /> Drilling The borings were drilled using 8-inch diameter hollow stem augers, and the augers were <br /> steam cleaned between borings The borings were all extended to a depth of approximately 85- <br /> feet bgs The lithology and other pertinent data were recorded on the field boring logs, which are <br /> included in Appendix B <br /> Soil cuttings from the borings were contained in Department of Transportation (DOT) approved <br /> 55-gallon drums and labeled accordingly Cuttings were left on-site pending results of laboratory <br /> analysis to determine an appropriate disposal option Disposal is the responsibility of the client <br /> 3 <br /> r <br />
