 v
of in a timely and appropriate manner after review$ng the
analytical results and obtaining agency approval. The storage
area will be posted with a sign indicating the source and
contents of each pile or drum.
Groundwater will be monitored in accordance with WaterWork's
QA/QC Plan. Subsequent to installation and well development,
water samples will be collected from the monitoring well after
purging a minimum of four well volumes (casing and sandpack) from
each well. Stabilization of EC, pH, and temperature will be
checked after purging and before and after sample collection to
ensure samples collected are representative of formation water.
The purged water will remain on-site, in secured 55-gallon drums,
until laboratory results are received. A proposal for treatment
or disposal of the water produced during development will then be
prepared. Water sample collection and preservation will be in
accordance with WaterWork's GA/QC Plan. Bailers with bottom
emptying devices to reduce volatilization will be used. The
water samples will be analyzed by Applied Analytical for BTEX and
TPHG by appropriate EPA and DHS methodologies.
During well development/purging, drawdown will be monitored in
order to estimate formation transmissivity. This data will be
used along with the lithologic descriptions to assess contaminant
pathways and velocities.
All site activities involving potential contact with hazardous
materials (i.e. gasoline contaminated soils) will be conducted in
accordance with WaterWork's Health and Safety Plan. A problem
assessment report will be prepared according the RWQCB guidelines
summarizing the findings of the investigation and recommending
remedial action alternatives, as appropriate. The field
investigation will be conducted under the direct supervision of
Russell W. Juncal, California Registered Geologist No. 3864
and/or Nora H. Kataoka, California Registered Civil Engineer No.
38322. The appropriate individual will review and sign the
assessment report.
Completed Applications for Permit and filing fee are attached to
this addendum. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this
matter, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Respectfully,
WaterWork Corp.
Nora H. Kataoka
Registered Civil Engineer
No, CA 38322
NHK/kj
pc: Mr. Bill Neuman, BJJ Co. , Inc.
Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region
