A combustible/flammableas detector tector will be utilized
to assess the LEL atmosphere and oxygen Ievels within the tank.
The tank will then be filled with "Class B" cement slurry (two sacks of cement pei cubic yard of
sand). The cement will be commercially mixed and pumped under pressure into the tank. Due
to the presence of a reinforced concrete slab overlaying the tank and piping, ATC proposes to
abandon piping below grade by forcing concrete or grout through the piping and capping the
pipes just below grade.
Tank Abandonment Report
After completion of all abandonment activities, a final letter will be submitted to the Fire
District, PHS/EHD and the Regional Water Quality Control Board.
WA94304Veports\UST closure.doc 4
