r
COS January 1996 Meeting
Page 3
The purpose of the scope of work proposed in this work plan is to compile a complete site
assessment report with all data obtained to date. All soil and groundwater analyses
obtained to date should be tabulated. The estimated extent of the contamination should be
contoured on cross sections which include lithological strata and well construction details.
A mass balance should be calculated for each concentration contour. The environmental
attenuation, leachability, waste characterization and monitoring well data presented in this
report will be used to determine the risk of leaving the waste in place, or the benefit of
establishing and implementing site specific cleanup goals.
The compliance date for the work plan is February 29, 1996
The next meeting to discuss COS sites was scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 1996 at 1:30 p.m.
and will be held at the office of PHS/EHD. PHS/EHD_ appreciates the efforts of the COS to work
cooperatively.
Please contact either Mary Meays at (209)468-0337, Steve Sasson at (209)468-3459 or Linda
Turkatte at (209)468-3441, if you have any questions or disagree with this summary.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
nvironmketal Health Division
Diane M.
