The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate <br /> progress and to establish schedules for future work at the above noted sites. The COS requested that PHS/EHD <br /> continue to send reminder letters for the scheduled meetings. <br /> 22 East Market - <br /> The disposition of the remainder of the stockpiled soil at the COS Corporation Yard from the 1992 <br /> excavation was discussed. A summary letter will be submitted by the COS describing the final <br /> disposition. PHS/EHD staff indicated that there was no contamination observed during the movement of <br /> the soil. The evaluation of the potential threat to groundwater from the residual soil contamination <br /> beneath the sidewalk and building was also discussed. RESNA indicated that fate and transport <br /> modeling using the SESOIL model was being considered. PHS/EHD mentioned that the EPA V-leach <br /> model has been used to evaluate contaminant transport in soil to groundwater. RESNA will evaluate <br /> several different models and PHS/EHD requested that RESNA submit for review a description of the <br /> selected model and parameters prior to running the model. PHS/EHD also indicated that an evaluation <br /> of the efficiency and cost effectiveness of at least two remedial methods must be submitted in addition <br /> to the environmental fate analysis, as part of the corrective action plan, pursuant to the California Code <br /> of Regulations. <br /> The COS agreed to submit within 30 days either information on the selected model or, if needed, a <br /> request for an extension in order to obtain fundingapproval from the City Council. <br /> Fontana Drive at Smith Canal <br /> RESNA stated that the specifications for the proposed over-excavation work would be submitted to the <br /> COS next week and depending on the proposed costs, the COS will either issue a purchase order or <br /> A 1)iAision of San.Joatluin Counts Health Care tiervice. <br />
