H. LOCAL AGENCIES <br /> Provisions have been made with the local agencies and emergency responders which have been <br /> briefed on the specifics of the facility operations and emergency action plan, including information <br /> on the nature of the hazardous materials that are handled at the site, traffic control measures, site <br /> maps, evacuation procedures, and this facility's emergency action plan. Phone numbers for local <br /> agencies and emergency responders are listed in section F. <br /> Local Emergency Responders Contact: Upon implementation of the emergency action plan,by <br /> dialing 911 the local agency responders--Montezuma Fire District, City of Stockton HazMat <br /> Team/Emergency Services, Stockton Police Department, and/or paramedics--will be notified and <br /> respond to the incident as appropriate. MSDS information shall be provided whenever feasible in <br /> the event of a chemical spill or exposure. <br /> Local Community Hospital Contact(See Hospital Map,above): The San Joaquin General Hospital, <br /> which has been identified to be closest to the site, is described in preceding pages of this plan. A 24- <br /> hour Emergency Room is located at this medical facility. In the case of chemical exposure a MSDS <br /> for the substance shall be obtained and provided to the treatment facility. The address,phone <br /> numbers,and particulars for traveling from the site location to the medical facility are listed above. <br /> 1. EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT <br /> The facility site map (Attachment A) identifies the locations of emergency equipment. Emergency <br /> information is prominently displayed in strategic on-site locations. Basic emergency and fust aid <br /> equipment, decontamination equipment and supplies are available on-site. Equipment includes: <br /> 1) Communications — Air horns (two, white and red), one located in the office above the filing <br /> cabinet and one adjacent to the paint bulking area in the warehouse. Additionally, an emergency <br /> telephone(red) is located inside the warehouse on the wall to the right of the loading dock door. <br /> 2) Eye wash/safety shower (two, green and yellow, plus full size shower in restroom), one located <br /> outside in the unloading zone and one located adjacent to the paint bulking area in the warehouse. <br /> 3) Fire extinguishers(ABC), five located in strategic locations throughout the building—two in the <br /> waste processing area, one in the chemical storage area, one in the non-hazardous storage area, and <br /> one in the office(see site map in Attachment A). <br /> 4) First aid kits (two, white cases), one located in the office above the filing cabinet and one in the <br /> warehouse adjacent to the paint bulking area. <br /> 5) Spill kits (two, in black drums labeled"spill kit") consisting of absorbents and spill pillows,non- <br /> reactive absorbent packaging material, broom, dust pan, Tyvek splash suits, disposable gloves and <br /> safety glasses are located one outside adjacent to the hazardous waste storage tanks, and one inside <br /> adjacent to the shippingtreceiving area of the warehouse. <br /> 6) Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the products and hazardous substances handled are <br /> located adjacent to the shipping/receiving area of the warehouse, as well as in the office adjacent to <br /> the copy machine. MSDS sheets not available on site may be obtained electronically through the <br /> internet or from the manufacturer of the product or substance. <br /> 7) Additional safety equipment is in the non-hazardous storage area, including absorbent pads, <br /> empty containers, chemical fingerprint identification materials, chemical-resistant clothing, Tyvek <br /> and splash suits,protective boots,and gloves,and a full-face air-purifying breathing apparatus. <br /> - 7- <br />
