<br />§173.203 Non -bulk packagings for liquid hazardous
<br />materials in Packing Group III.
<br />(a) When §172.101 of this subchapter specifies that a liquid hazardous
<br />material be packaged under this section, only non -bulk packagings
<br />prescribed in this section may be used for its transportation. Each
<br />packaging must conform to the general packaging requirements of
<br />Subpart B of Part 173, to the requirements of Part 178 of this subchap-
<br />ter at the Packing Group I, II or III performance level, and to the require-
<br />ments of the special provisions of Column 7 of the §172.101 Table.
<br />(b) The following combination packagings are authorized:

<br />§173.204 Non -bulk, non -specification packagings for
<br />certain hazardous materials.
<br />When §172.101 of this subchapter specifies that a liquid or solid haz-
<br />ardous material be packaged under this section, any appropriate non -
<br />bulk packaging which conforms to the general packaging requirements
<br />of Subpart B of Part 173 may be used for its transportation. Packagings
<br />need not conform to the requirements of Part 178 of this subchapter.
<br />§173.205 Specification cylinders for liquid hazardous
<br />materials.
<br />When §172.101 of this subchapter specifies that a hazardous mate-
<br />rial must be packaged under this section, the use of any specification
<br />or UN cylinder, except those specified for acetylene, Is authorized.
<br />Cylinders used for toxic materials in Division 6.1 or 2.3 must conform
<br />to the requirements of §173.40.
<br />§173.206 Packaging requirements for chiorosllanes.
<br />(a) When §172.101 of this subchapter specifies that a hazardous
<br />material be packaged under this section, only nonbulk packagings
<br />prescribed in this section may be used for its transportation. Each
<br />packaging must conform to the general packaging requirements of
<br />subpart B of part 173, to the requirements of part 178 of this subchap-
<br />ter at the Packing Group I or 11 performance level (unless otherwise
<br />excepted), and to the particular requirements of the special provisions
<br />of Column (7) of the §172.101 Table.
<br />(b) The following combination packagings are authorized:
