• 0
Additional Site Assessment Report
CANCUN RESTAURANT
135 East Miner Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Michael Griffin, consultant for St. John's Episcopal Church, Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Additional Site Assessment Report for
135 East Miner Avenue, Stockton, California(site). The work was performed to determine
the extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water off-site and downgradient
directions from the former underground storage tank area. The scope of work included
advancement of three soil borings, collection of soil and ground water samples, and
preparation of this report. Site location is illustrated on Figure 1. Site Background
information with historical soil sampling is summarized in Appendix A.
Soil boring advancement procedures were outlined in the AGE-prepared Additional Site
Assessment Work Plan (Work Plan), dated 26 August 2011, directed by the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department(EHD)letter dated 30 June 2011, and approved
by the EHD letter.This scope of work and report has been prepared in accordance with the
EHD directive letter dated 30 September 2011. The work was conducted in accordance
with Central Valley Region of the Regional Water Quality Control Board (CV-RWQCB)
guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites.
2.0. SOIL BORINGS
Field work was performed in accordance with procedures outlined in the Work Plan. A
chronology of the site investigation is as follows:
• 30 January 2012 - Advancement of soil boring B6 to a total depth of 65 feet below
surface grade (bsg);
• 02 February 2012 - Advancement of soil borings B7 to total depth of 65 feet bsg;
• 03 February 2012 - Advancement of soil boring B8 to a total depth of 65 feet bsg.
BORING ADVANCEMENT
Based on the findings of the previous soil samples, grab ground water samples, and
current ground water sampling, additional soil and ground water sampling would be
required to laterally and vertically define hydrocarbons to levels below detections limits.
One boring was proposed in the City of Stockton Right-of-Way, in the sidewalk south of
Miner Avenue, west of Hunter Street, to define the southern extent of hydrocarbon
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
