Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
Regarding: Addendum to Nitrate Loading Study
Lopes Property
16520 W. Von Sosten Rd., Tracy, CA
Original report dated February 27, 2020
Mr. Ahmed:
I spoke with Michael Kith, Lead REHS, on March 4 regarding changes to the nitrate
loading calculation. At this time, he indicated that the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department, in consultation with Norm Hantzsche, now
recommends that residential wastewater generation (per house) be calculated as 100
gallons per day (gpd) for the first bedroom and 50 gpd for each additional bedroom.
As a result, we have prepared this addendum to the above Nitrate Loading Study,
adjusting the calculation to utilize the new method.
As indicated in the original report, the existing house has three bedrooms, and the
proposed new house will have two bedrooms. Using the new method to calculate
wastewater flow, the existing house contributes 200 gpd, and the new house
contributes 150 gpd, for a total wastewater flow of 350 gpd.
For the new calculation, all other variables have been retained as they were on the date
of the original report.
The inputs and results of the revised calculation are as follows:
Environmental ❖ Engineering Geology Geophysics
