A clayey sand stratum, two to three feet thick, was encountered
at approximately 19 feet bgs Lateral continuity of this stratum could not be
evaluated Groundwater was not encountered during the previous subsurface
work at the site Based on work at other sites in the area, groundwater is
expected to be at approximately 40 feet bgs
Clayey gravel was encountered to a depth of approximately 14 feet bgs in Boring
U-G. This material is imported fill placed in the former UST excavation Brick
and the fragments encountered in Borings U-A and U-D and other man-made
debris encountered during UST and product line removal indicate the uppermost
ten to twelve feet of soil beneath the site is fill material
PREVIOUS WORK
One gasoline underground storage tank (UST) was removed from the southeast
corner of the property (date unknown) Data regarding soils testing at the time
of the tank removal are unavailable
Two gasoline and one waste oil USTs and associated product piping were
removed and the station building demolished during January, 1993 Petroleum
4V hydrocarbons were not detected in soil samples from beneath the USTs
782790-4
GeoStrategies Inc.
