UNOCAL Corporation
March 9, 1994
Page 6
Well Developmenj and Sampling After the well seals have been
allowed to cure for a minimum of 48 hours, the newly installed
groundwater monitoring wells will be developed Following
development, each well will be monitored and sampled
Groundwater samples will be as described in Task 3 Well
development, monitoring, and sampling will be performed by MPDS
Services, Inc., a UNOCAL subcontractor
TASK 3 Chemical analyses will be performed by Sequoia Analytical
Laboratory, a California state-certified laboratory located in
Sacramento, California Selected soil samples from the borings in
the southeast portion of the site and groundwater samples will be
analyzed for TPH-Gasoline utilizing EPA Method 8015 (Modified),
and for Benzene,Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes (BTEX) utilizing
. EPA Method 8020 One soil sample from 11 5 feet in the well
boring adjacent to Boring U-A will be analyzed for Cd and for WET
Pb utilizing de-ionized water
Two soil samples will be submitted for physical testing. These tests
will include permeability and grain-size distribution analysis Sample
selection will be based on site conditions
TASK 4 Following receipt of all data, the data will be evaluated, and a
technical report will be prepared which summarizes the findings
associated with the soil boring and well installation activities
• 782790-4
GeoStrategies Inc.
