Soil samples for analysis were <br /> collected from beneath the UST's and their respective dispenser locations. Analytical results <br /> reported 1,100 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) beneath the diesel dispenser. A site investigation <br /> was initiated in December 2000 when three soil borings were advanced to surround the former <br /> diesel dispenser. Soil and grab groundwater samples were collected from the borings; analytical <br /> results reported very low concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel in all samples. <br /> A work plan for additional investigation was submitted to and approved SJC/EHD in August 2001, <br /> but was never implemented. <br /> SJC/EHD and the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region are currently <br /> reviewing the site for possible low risk closure. If additional data are needed to complete the <br /> review you will be notified in writing by SJC/EHD. In correspondence dated February 9, 2001 and <br /> August 14, 2001 SJC/EHD requested that a sensitive receptor survey be prepared that identifies <br /> all municipal, domestic, agricultural, industrial and other wells located within a 2,000 foot radius of <br /> the former UST's. Preparation of a sensitive receptor survey is an integral part of the site <br /> investigation process.and is necessary for final file review.
